Staff & Volunteer Opportunities at Adult Day Center of Westerly.
It is Adult Day Center of Westerly’s staff that sets us apart as an organization that provides quality adult day services. With a turnover rate of only 10%, the majority of our staff has been with the agency for more than 10 years. With longevity brings continuity of care for your loved one. Staff members get to know the participants’ interests, hobbies, skills and needs. This is vital for planning and providing a meaningful day for our participants.
Our staffing ratio (1:6) at Adult Day Center of Westerly enables the staff to meet the individual needs of our participants.
All staff members are trained in: Blood Borne Pathogens, Confidentiality, HIPAA Privacy Laws, Patient Transfers, Fire Safety, Cultural Diversity, Participant Rights, Elder Abuse, Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias, and the Dually Diagnosed (a client who is both developmentally disabled and psychiatrically impaired). Additionally, all nursing staff are CPR and First Aid certified.

Our volunteers are a valuable resource who share in Adult Day Center of Westerly’s commitment to serve our participants in a compassionate and respectful manner. Adult Day Center of Westerly would not be able to maintain its high standards without volunteer assistance. We are grateful to the individual who donate their time, energy, expertise and compassion to help us fulfill our mission. There are many volunteer opportunities available at our Center such as: entertainment/performing, arts and crafts, assisting with games, clerical work, gardening and help with serving meals and kitchen work.
