
Caregiver Support & Education at Adult Day Center of Westerly.
Caregiver support and education is a component of the Adult Day Center of Westerly program. The Caregiver Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Center and is facilitated by the Director of Social Services. The group provides speakers on topics relevant to caregiving as well as devoting time to support, encourage and get to know other caregivers who are facing many of the same challenges. Typical topics include:

Dealing with Difficult Behaviors
Stress Management and Prevention of Caregiver Burnout
Communication Techniques
Community Resources
Legal Issues (Powers of Attorney, Living Will, Guardianship)
